We can offer two different types of accommodation for adults-only holidays here on our historic estate in Cheshire, including…
Adults-Only North Wing B&B Stays
Our North Wing accommodates adults, it is the perfect place for a stay steeped in history and culture. We have two B&B suites, the Bhurtpore and the Salamanca – each offering a private sitting room. Architecturally inspiring and extremely comfortable, the North Wing works for both couples, and is also perfect for two single friends as the Bhurtpore can be a twin room too. Groups of 4 can also stay and enjoy the whole North Wing to themselves, with a room for each couple. A fabulous breakfast is cooked and served by the House Manager each morning, with local produce, making your entire stay hassle-free. The North Wing is also the perfect springboard if you’re a foodie wanting to explore the extensive local cuisine for lunches and dinners.
Adults-Only Self-Catering Cottage Stays
We have 10 self-catering countryside cottages on the estate that are ideal for adults-only getaways. Sleeping between 4, 5 and 6, the cottages are perfect for groups of friends as well as couples. You can enjoy autumn evenings in front of a fire after a bracing walk, or perhaps bring your own board games to play together on the evenings. The cottages are equipped with their own kitchens, meaning you can stay for a long period of time and cook your own meals, there’s plenty of farmers markets nearby so you can enjoy locally sourced food during your trip.

Adults-Only Activities In Cheshire
Sometimes, a relaxing break doing very little is just what you need. You might want to come away and switch off from the world, detox and get back to nature.
Or, you might choose to fill your adults-only holiday at Combermere Abbey with lots of activities. There’s a world to explore on your doorstep within the estate and there’s also plenty to do outside of our grounds too. What’s more, autumn is perfect for naturistic activities such as walks through the woodlands and gardens, as well as wild swimming.
If you’re planning on staying at the Combermere estate, some things you can do include:

* Bike rides around the estate and through the woods
* Picnics and prosecco by the mere
* Reading in the sitting room (for North Wing stays)

Our North Wing is perfect for adults-only holidays, with both the Bhurtpore suite as well as the Salamanca available to book.
Our holiday cottages also work brilliantly for an adult’s weekend, or even a midi-break of 3 or 4 nights. Larger cottages easily accommodate up to 6 offering spacious facilities while observing current restrictions. Or, you might choose a smaller cottage, great for just two people.
