Meet the family

Combermere Abbey is home to Sarah Callander Beckett, her husband Peter and their son, Peregrine.

In 1992, the great-granddaughter of Sir Kenneth Crossley, Sarah Callander Beckett, inherited the Combermere Abbey estate. Passionately committed to its renaissance and the restoration of its buildings and land, she is exceptionally proud of the team she leads and their shared energy and enthusiasm for its success.

Following successful careers in advertising, horse racing and banking, Sarah’s husband, Peter Beckett set up his own companies involved in project management and building restoration. A great proponent of bringing working people back in to the countryside, he most enjoys giving existing, redundant structures a new lease of life.

Their son, Peregrine, has lived all his life at Combermere Abbey. Currently studying international business at university, Peregrine is also a keen sportsman and has a small business drawing pets.

Sarah, Peter and Peregrine look forward to welcoming you to Combermere Abbey.
