The Battle of Nantwich – Saturday 25th January 2025
Step back in time and witness the dramatic re-enactment of the 1644 Battle of Nantwich. Every year, the Sealed Knot Society brings history to life on Mill Island in the heart of Nantwich with costumed parades, live-action battles, and street entertainment. Troops from both sides set up camp on estates such as Combermere Abbey and Shavington.

Winter Lecture in the Library at Combermere – Thursday February 5th at 6.30pm
Come and hear explorer and entrepreneur Jamie Douglas Hamilton tell the remarkable story of The Big Row in the historic library at the Abbey. At 31, he broke two world records and made the Guinness Book of Records with his team of 7, which led to the creation of one of UK’s most successful bottled water company!
