Civil Ceremonies
Amidst the walled gardens of Combermere Abbey, surrounded by a fruit tree maze, lies the Edwardian Glasshouse.
This magical space seats up to 150 of your loved ones and is perfect for wedding ceremonies throughout the seasons. The light and airy space offers views across the gardens, bringing the outdoors in, and will leave a lasting impression on your guests.
Outdoor wedding ceremonies
At Combermere Abbey, we understand that each couple’s dream wedding is unique. That’s why we offer the flexibility to exchange your vows in the heart of our fruit tree maze or within the serene walled garden, allowing you to create the perfect outdoor ceremony that reflects your individual style.
Religious ceremonies
There are a number of pretty churches in the local villages surrounding Combermere Abbey.
If you would like to marry in a church or another place of worship, we would be delighted to welcome you to Combermere Abbey after your ceremony for your wedding celebrations.

Wedding preparations
At Combermere Abbey, we have two separate preparation spaces so both parties have their own space to get ready.
Keeper’s Cottage, located just outside the garden gates is a well-equipped dressing room complete with full-length mirrors, makeup stations, and plenty of natural light. There is also a comfortable lounge where you can relax and spend quality time with your loved ones as you put the finishing touches on your look.
Coming early 2026, The Bothy is calming retreat just a few steps away from The Glasshouse. The space contains everything you need to get ready for your day, as well as a vinyl lounge for pre-wedding relaxation. Find out more.
If you’re feeling peckish, choose from a selection of delicious grazing boards and drink options to share whilst you get ready.

Whatever time of year you plan to marry, Combermere Abbey has much to offer. While spring and summer months see the Walled Gardens flourish, we love the rich colours of autumn and the romance of the Pavilion in the winter.
