Treat Mum To A Mother’s Day Break

Estate - 15.03.19

Mother’s Day is almost upon us, which means it’s time for sons and daughters to focus on their Mother’s Day shopping. But rather than scrolling endlessly through the internet or wandering through the shops for hours, why not book a Mother’s Day break as a treat that Mum will never forget?

The self catering accommodation at Combermere Abbey is a fantastic Mother’s Day treat for all the family

Give her some well-deserved time away in one of England’s most beautiful properties with complete privacy and peace, enjoying just being together as a family – what could be better?

Our range of luxury self-catering cottages are perfect for that Mother’s Day get away – no matter how big your family is! No need to check the family dog into the kennels either, as all our cottages are dog-friendly. All furry friends will receive a complimentary pooch pack with all the short break essentials! Our Malbanc or Crossley cottage are ideal for larger family groups, sleeping 8 and 10 guests. Our Beckett (sleeps 6), Cotton (sleeps 4) and Stapleton (sleeps 4) cottages are also available for a Mother’s Day break – round up your group and take your pick!

The beauty of the cottages lies in the choice: for meals, you can treat Mum to dinner at a local restaurant, or you can say ‘thank you’ by staying in and cooking up her favourite meal. Bring your own ingredients or organise a supermarket delivery. Mum can put her feet up with a glass of fizz from your complimentary bottle of Champagne whilst you rustle up a family favourite – there’s a true understated joy in spending time together in the kitchen.

The best part? There’s no need to worry about breakfast in the morning either. As a special thank you to all of those hard-working Mothers, we will add a complimentary continental breakfast hamper to each Mother’s Day break booking. Brimming with local produce – including fresh apple juice and jams from our very own Combermere fruit tree maze – you’ll wake up with ease knowing that her special breakfast in bed is already sorted for you.

Enjoy a relaxing stroll through the countryside, with acres of private estate land on your doorstep, there’s no better place for it than Combermere! Wander through the rolling parklands, explore the woodlands or take in the serenity of the mere (especially at sunset).

After a morning of exploring the grounds, imagine an afternoon pamper session – a perfect way to wind down. With Glo Pamper you don’t have to travel far for your massage – they’ll come straight to your door! It’s a Mother’s Day break after all, why not go full luxury, it’s certainly well-deserved. If your dog is a fan of a good pampering too and you don’t want them to miss out, you can take them to Pooka’s Pooch Parlour for their very own pamper session. Whether you’re settling down for the evening or looking to feel refreshed before your evening meal at a local restaurant, Glo Pamper will have you covered.

Finish the day off with dinner and some delicious wine and mouth-watering food when you experience the tasting menu at Docket No.33. With a Michelin starred chef at the heart of this restaurant, there’s no doubt you’ll be in awe of the pan roasted hake or the roasted venison loin.

Equally, you can’t go wrong with the pub classics and we’re perfectly located for the Combermere Arms or Cholmondeley Arms. The whole family gathered at the pub next to a hearty fire, celebrating a very special Mum, what could be better? To find out our top pub picks, head over to our blog.
